What better way to recognize World Physical Therapy Day than to live it? That’s what’s happening today in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where WPP orthopedic surgery team member and physical therapist Tracy Przybylski is hard at work with patients, preparing them for life-changing orthopedic surgery!
This morning, Tracy worked with 13-year-old Destine on using crutches as Destine heals after surgery to address bowing in her leg. Tracy is working with patients in St. Vincent this week, helping them both before and after surgery to ensure that their recoveries go well and that they get the best outcomes possible from surgery.
The organization World Physiotherapy explains that World Physical Therapy Day is “an opportunity for physiotherapists all over the world to raise awareness about the crucial contribution their profession makes to keeping people well, mobile and independent.” World Pediatric Project gratefully acknowledges and thanks all of the amazing physical therapists in WPP partner countries and in the U.S. that make WPP’s orthopedic surgery programs possible!
